What No One Told Me & My Opinion(And Im Not Sugar Coating It)

First of all, I didn't know that Hydroconde was hard on your stomach, making it so difficult for an individual to go to the bathroom to the point that something has to be taken. So my mom gave me Bisacodyl to take, just take two a day and you will be fine. I say you would only need a laxative if you are taking more then 4 Hydroconde a day, and in the beginning you for sure will. I also didn't know that Tramadol can make you fell sick and nauseous even if you eat something when you take it. So I wouldn't rely on it as much. Another thing is I never knew how much this surgery would effect me emotional and mentally, I literally was a train wreck. I had ok days, and then I had days were I would just cry all day and feel like it was just the end of the world...I was no where near happy, and the only thing I wanted was the pins out of my foot...I even thought about going to the ER and demanding they be taken out. But once I stop turning I wasn't happy, I was just a little more calmer. On another note to make showering a lot easier you will want a shower chair, it literally is a life saver!! Some other minor things I experienced was itching, burning when cleaning the pins, sometimes I felt the pins pull or move. Some nights were more difficult to sleep then others, and just being tired of standing on one foot for 15+ minutes can take a toll on you. My foot also ending up peeling pretty bad on the bottom of my foot to the top all they way to my ankle. So be sure to take a towel and clean your foot, and put some lotion on, my advice would be to start doing that early on!!!

Now even as severe as my case was, if I would have known what I know now, I would have not have had this surgery done. I would have much rather dealt with people staring then dealing with these pins and the surgery. The only reason I am stating my opinion is because I don't want anyone to feel as bad as I did. I am just warning you, beside everybody is different and we all experience things differently. With that being said I'll just sum it up like this.......
If you have your 4th toe short on one or both of your feet, I would really recommend thinking about this surgery before you do it, because I  would not do it if it was me. Cause at this point I am perfectly fine with that short little 4th toe on my left foot. Also if you just want the surgery for looks, I wouldn't do it, for me it just wouldn't be worth it. Now if your feet are causing you a lot of pain, I would ask that you really take the time to think about it, and if you think you can tolerate the pain and everything I talked about, then go ahead and have it done.
The last thing I would like to leave you with is this. The man above made everyone the way they are for a reason. No one is perfect and no will ever be perfect. I think that if you are brave enough to go have this surgery done, then you know what, your brave enough to look any individual in the eye that looks at you funny and say, this is me and if you don't like it, oh well!! We are all beautiful in our own unique way!! :) GOOD LUCK WITH WHATEVER DECISION YOU MAKE!!!
